The newly formed Hawarden College of the Oratory met for the first time in Gladstone’s Library in Hawarden for 48 hours this week.

During the chapter, Dylan Parry Jones, a deacon in the Diocese of St Asaph, was admitted as a probationer of the Oratory. A probationer is someone who has expressed a desire to test their vocation to the life of the Oratory and, under the guidance of another brother, begins to live the Oratory life. Probation normally lasts for two years and is a time of deepening discernment and formation. For more information on our discernment process, please click here.
For the remainder of the Chapter, we spent time together socially and in discussion. We also heard and discussed two papers and worshipped together in the Library and St Deiniol’s Church in Hawarden.

Here is a group photo of brethren with Pat Riley, Companion of OGS, who joined us for our time together.
